Simon Rimmer served up delicious cheese scones with apple chutney on Sunday Brunch.
The ingredients are: 250g self raising flour, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp mustard powder , 100g of cold butter, 175g mature cheddar cheese, 50g finely grated parmesan, 120ml buttermilk and 120ml cold water.
For the chutney: 1 diced onion, 600g cooking apples, peeled and diced, 350g soft light brown sugar, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp ground ginger and 225ml cider vinegar.
To serve: A slice of cheese and chutney. Or butter, jam and clotted cream.
