Gino D’Acampo served up a delicious upside down apple crumble with amaretto liqueur, salted butter, amaretti and digestive biscuits on Gino’s Italian Express.
The ingredients are: 50g salted butter, 3 large eating apples, peeled, cored and cut into 6 wedges, 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus extra to decorate, 2 tablespoons soft brown sugar, 12 crunchy amaretti biscuits (about 50g in total), 7 digestive biscuits (about 100g in total), 4 tablespoons runny honey, 4 tablespoons amaretto (almond liqueur) and 100g mascarpone cheese, drained.
