Phil Vickery served up a quick quiche Lorraine with gruyere cheese on This Morning.
The ingredients are: 1 x sheet ready rolled short pastry (not block pastry), 1 egg, beaten, for sealing the pastry base, A little oil, for frying, 400g dry cured unsmoked streaky bacon, cut into small, thin strips, 2 small onions, peeled and finely chopped, 150ml single cream (optional), 250ml milk, 200g grated Gruyere cheese, 3 large eggs, 2 large egg yolks, salt and ground black pepper.
Green salad, to serve.
