John Whaite served up sticky banana upside down cake on today’s episode of Lorraine.

The ingredients are: 120g pitted dates, chopped, 120ml boiling water, 220g light brown muscovado sugar, 4 ripe bananas, 145g unsalted butter, at room temperature, 
2 large eggs, 200g self-raising flour and Sea salt flakes.
