Paul Ainsworth trifle with saffron cake and Cornish sparkling wine jelly

Paul Ainsworth served up a trifle with raspberries, strawberries, saffron cake, Cornish sparkling wine jelly and honeycomb on Royal Recipes with Michael Buerk.

Paul says: “The go to dish for any street part or Royal occasion is the trifle and they are great made with good British ingredients.”

To make the trifle, Paul used a whole bottle of Cornish sparkling wine, sprig of thyme, vanilla, star anise, sugar, strawberries , raspberries, double cream, vanilla, gelatine, chocolate and icing sugar.
