Candice Brown salted caramel apple crumble recipe on This Morning

Candice Brown served up a delicious salted caramel apple crumble with cinnamon custard dessert on This Morning.

The ingredients for the salted caramel are: 60g soft light brown sugar, 60g soft dark brown sugar, 120g unsalted butter, 100ml double cream and 1tsp rock salt.

For the filling: 4 peeled cored Bramley apples, 4 peeled cored eating apples (sweeter), 2 star anise and Cinnamon stick.

For the crumble: 250g plain flour, 200g soft unsalted butter, 100g golden caster sugar, 50g chopped medjool dates, 50g rolled oats, 25g flaked almonds and 50g Demerara sugar.

For the cinnamon custard: 300ml double cream, 50ml whole milk, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 2 large egg yolks and 25g golden caster sugar.
