Jane’s pistachio and white chocolate churros recipe on The Great British Bake Off

Jane impressed Paul and Mary with her Spanish pistachio and white chocolate churros on The Great British Bake Off.

The ingredients for the pistachio custard are: 300g shelled unsalted pistachios, 65g icing sugar, 125ml full-fat milk, 5 large free-range egg yolks, ¼ tsp almond extract, 25g salted butter, cubed, green food colouring (optional) and 50g white chocolate, melted.

For the churros: 4 tsp sugar, 165g salted butter, ½ tsp salt, 225g plain flour, sifted, 4 large free-range eggs, 1½ tsp vanilla extract, vegetable oil, for deep frying, 100g vanilla sugar, for coating the churros and 200g white chocolate.

For the chocolate sauce: 100ml single cream, 100g dark chocolate, chopped and 1 tbsp almond liqueur.
