28-year-old Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has been very busy on his solo project even though The Killers are meant to be taking a break.

His debut album, out September 6, is like a love letter to his home city Las Vegas where he met his wife. Brandon says the album is a reflection of his Las Vegas roots.

The album “Flamingo” was a record that began with a new Killers album in mind. But when it became evident that Flowers’ bandmates wanted some time off after seven years of virtually non-stop activity, it became a solo project.
