Willie Carson became the eighth celebrity to be voted off I’m A Celebrity Get Be Out Of Here this series.
The former champion jockey found himself in the bottom two of the latest public vote with McFly singer Dougie Poynter.
He told Ant and Dec that the experience was tougher than he was expecting “In a way”. “I don’t mind the conditions, it was the food, not getting the food, and then having to do things and then getting in to trouble.”
Asked about his time as camp Prince and why he thought he was voted for the role, he said: “I was a bit surprised by that. It was only because I was old. I was the old man.”
“You don’t do anything, do you? No, I didn’t really enjoy it because I like to get my hands dirty, as you can see.”
Willie also clarified why he was angry with Dougie and Antony over their secret traitor task, even though they did it for the good of the camp, and weren’t aware Willie would be punished.
“Dishonesty was shown to be worthwhile. It’s not the right thing to be doing,” he said. “When you’re dishonest you should be punished, not the other way around, which is what happened.
