Anita Dobson has become the latest celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing this series.

Anita, and her dance partner Brendan Cole last night, had scored 32 out of a possible 47 points. Although it was not the lowest score on the night, when the public votes were combined with the judges’ scores it left Anita on the bottom.

Robbie Savage scored the lowest points on the night (26) but managed to avoided the bottom two again, with Holly Valance in the danger zone for the second time in as many weeks.

Speaking about her highlights on the show, Anita said: “He [Robin] made this the most humorous, enjoyable, fun, wonderful learning experience you could ever imagine. Thank you SO much. Can I just say thank-you to Brendan too, because without him I wouldn’t have done this week… thank you”.

Anita’s regular dance partner, Robin, appeared via telephone linkup to pay tribute to his partner: “Anita darling, I just wanted to say you’ve been absolutely incredible, and I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there with you tonight. It has been a pleasure to work with you. You have been one of the most enthusiastic and hard-working people I’ve ever, ever, ever met. I’m going to miss you dearly”.
