Shane Collard is 24 and comes from Perth in Australia. This year he was selected by the So You Think You Can Dance judges as one of the top 10 guys to go through to the live shows on Saturday nights.

After three years of ballet and contemporary dance training in Perth, Shane left Australia at 18, and with his first professional audition, landed a role as a Can-Can soloist at the Moulin Rouge. However, it was only after a series of dance classes in New York years later that Shane was inspired to train further and move to London to make it as a dancer.

Before he began dancing aged 9, Shane loved gymnastics; a background which has given him the strength and body awareness needed in dance, and has made him a fearless performer.
