X Factor girl group Belle Amie took to Twitter yesterday to dismiss rumours that the band is about to split.

 
At the end of 2010, the girls tweeted: “Be excited guys, Belle Amie will be recording some new original material in the New Year, spread the word. This is just the beginning. There are a few surprises and shockers on the way but it will all be worth it. Watch out world.”

The four-piece, comprising Rebecca Creighton, Esther Campbell, Geneva Lane and Sophia Wardman, confirmed that they will begin work on their first track in the studio next week.

Writing on Twitter yesterday, Lane added: “Things are looking bright, Belle Amie have had their first song sent in. We start recording next week.”

The group are also planning to move in together, rubbishing reports that they on the verge of splitting.

Speaking to Herald.ie about the split rumours, Creighton said: “There’s no truth to that, I’ve no idea where that came from. Of course we were disappointed about not making it on to the X Factor tour but it just means we have to work that little bit harder now.”
