X Factor 2011: John Adams puts ‘Cannonball’ back into the Charts

 The X Factor hopeful John Adams has already made an impact on the UK charts  before the live shows  as even began.

Adams covered Damien Rice’s Cannonball at his audition this year; the original track reached 32 on the UK Singles Chart in 2003, however this week it is in the top ten, thanks to Adams performance on the X Factor.

After his performance Gary Barlow told the 23 year old maths teacher that the track was one of his favourites, and added:

“hate people singing my favourite songs, because it always lets me down, you absolutely nailed that vocal!”
