Voice coach Yvie Burnett abandons ITV X Factor for BBC The Voice

Yvie Burnett has been the voice coach on The X Factor for many years but she has now said goodbye to the ITV show in favour of the BBC latest talent show, The Voice.

Last year while writing in her regular column for the Sunday Mail, Yvie said of X Factor 2011, “There hasn’t been an outstanding level of talent this year, or any outstanding performances.

“There has been nothing that has had people talking for the rest of the week in the office.

“Instead of the voices, they are talking about the arguments, bullying and drugs scandal.

“To me, the show lacks something, and I think that is a superstar.

“Looking back over the series so far, I do think the show has lost its heart a wee bit.

“In years gone by we were so lucky. We had Jedward, Olly Murs, Stacey Solomon and Joe McElderry all in one year”

“This year, I wouldn’t blame the audience if they were a bit underwhelmed.”
