27 year old Molly Smitten-Downes sings Children of the Universe for the UK in the Eurovision 2014 Song Contest

Molly Smitten-Downes represent the UK in Eurovision 2014 with the song ‘Children of The Universe’.

Molly, 27, is an up and coming Singer/Songwriter from Leicester who written her own song for the contest alongside Swedish Producer Anders Hansson. It is a soaring folk-pop ballad that is a good listen but who knows what our European counterparts will make of it.

The UK is hoping to improve its fortunes after two woeful years when veteran acts Engelbert Humperdinck and Bonnie Tyler both floundered to bottom end of the voting table.

Molly will be the last act to perform on the night, and it could be an advantage as the song will still be fresh in the memory as voting begins.
