The Wanted to perform Glad You Came on American Idol

While most of the attention over the past few months have been focused on the success of One Direction in America, pop group The Wanted have been having successes of their own across the pond also.

The boyband single ‘Glad You Came’ have done well in the Hot 100 chart and with all the recognition the boys have been getting Statesside, they have manage to land a spot on American Idol on April 5th to perform their hit single.

Confirming the news, the group tweeted: “And now for our big news…we are excited to announce we will be performing on American Idol on 5th of April!! #TheWantedOnIdol”

The group will release their debut self-titled EP in the US on April 17, which will include new cut ‘Chasing The Sun’.

‘Glad You Came’ was recently certified platinum in the US after reaching sales of over a million copies since its release two months ago.
