The One Direction boys have taken Canada by storm causing absolute mayhem during their recent trip to the country.

The boys were in Canada to supporting US boyband Big Time Rush for a concert in Toronto. So many fans turned out to see them, that police were forced to close off a whole street due to their massive popularity.

The boys have been tailed by hoardes of screaming females wherever they go and when they show up for an interview or performance as part of their promotion of the US release of album ‘Up All Night,’ thousands of fans scramble to get up close to the lads.

After performing in Toronto, One Direction showed up to the city’s Headquarters of Much Music, officials were forced to shut down the street!

Barriers were erected to stop the screaming crowd from crushing the pop group, though they did spend some time meeting and greeting their fans.

Niall later tweeted:
