So You Think You Can Dance returned to the BBC last night for a second series to find Britain’s favourite dancer. Presenter Cat Deeley is rejoined by judges Nigel Lythgoe, Arlene Phillips, Louise Redknapp and Sisco Gomez for the 2011 series.
The show got of to a flying start with 29 year old tap dancer Matt Flint showing us that tap dancing can be made funky and cool.
Matt from Scarborough delivered a quirky, fun and acrobatic tap routine for his audition. Both Nigel and Louise describe what Matt does as their favourite style of tap, while Arlene raves about the “feast” of Matt that he delivered. Sisco was not just impressed with Matt’s dancing, but also by his likeability.
Matt was awarded the first golden ticket to choreography boot camp of the series. Check out his performance below:
