James Martin served up a delicious and easy to make walnut ice cream with a custard tart on Saturday Kitchen.

The ingredients for the pastry are: 225g plain flour, 50g caster sugar, 125g butter, slightly softened, 1 vanilla pod, seeds scraped out, 1 free-range egg, For the custard filling, 750ml whipping cream, 12 egg yolks, 115g caster sugar and ½ tsp ground allspice.
For the walnut ice cream: 200ml double cream, 1 tbsp clear honey and 100g walnuts, shells removed, chopped.
For the candied sugared walnuts: 100g caster sugar, 100g walnut halves and rapeseed oil.
To serve: caramel and lemon balm leaves.
