Dean Edwards served up a delicious sticky ginger and toffee apple cake for Macmillan Coffee Morning on today’s episode of Lorraine.
The ingredients are: 3 small red apples, 2tbsp lemon juice, 225g salted butter, softened, 2tsp orange zest, 225g light brown soft sugar, 225g self-raising flour, ½ tsp baking powder, 1 tbsp ground ginger, 4 medium eggs, beaten, 4 tbsp milk and ½ tsp vanilla essence.
For the caramel sauce: 80g soft toffee sweets and 4 tbsp milk.
