Si and Dave served up pampushki – Baltic buns – on The Hairy Bikers’ Northern Exposure.
The Bikers says: “These bread rolls are traditionally served with borscht, you can try different toppings for the rolls such as finely chopped bacon and herbs.”
The ingredients are: 350g white bread flour, 150g rye flour, 7g dry instant yeast (1 sachet), 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt and 1 tbsp oil or butter and 300ml milk, warmed.
For the topping: 2 garlic cloves, crushed, 25g butter or oil and salt.
