17-year-old Cher Lloyd has become the first X Factor 2010 finalist to be eliminated in this year’s final, finishing the competition in fourth place.
Early this week Cher revealed that she did not believe that she could win the competition, but after delivering to brilliant performances including one with will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas on Saturday night, we were beginning to think she could go all the way.
However, after being in the bottom two twice before, and receiving a lot of negative press, Cher has had to fight ever step of the way to reach the finals.
We were please to see Cher in the finals because her up tempo numbers always grabbed our attention. She might not have won but she has got a bright future a head of her.
Speaking to Dermot after her exit, Cher said: “I thank everybody who voted for me, I want to give a big thank you to Savan and Allie and Tyler and everyone who believed on me.”
Cher, who performed a remix of Missy Elliot’s ‘Get Ur Freak On’ and ‘I’ve Gotta Feeling’ alongside Will.i.am in the final, added: “My highlight throughout the whole of this was standing on stage with will.i.am, I thank everyone who arranged that for me and thank him as well.” Check out he performance with wil.i.am below:
