After a last minute change to her original song choice, Cher Lloyd’s  fusion of 369 by Cupid ft B.o.B and Get Your Freak On by Missy Elliot when down well with the judges on Saturday night.

She took a risk – yes, another one – and it paid off so much so that Simon Cowell said it was his favourite performance of hers.

Cher started her performance standing on the judges table, she then hopped onto the stage and went on to put on a show that we thoroughly enjoyed. We agree with Simon, it was her best of the X Factor series, but we did not like what she was wearing.

LOUIS WALSH: “Against all odds you made it. I loved the song choices, Brian Friedman did a brilliant job with the staging, the styling is great and hey, you’re in the final. Who would have thought it?”

DANNII MINOGUE: “Cher you’ve stuck to what you do throughout the competition, you’re music is definitely niche and, it’s something we’ve had on here before. This is an incredible springboard, you’ve had an amazing mentor and it’s what you do with it now and how you approach people that will create your future.”

SIMON COWELL: “Cher using one of Chery;s expressions, I’m going to say that you smashed that. This is why I am happy that we put you through because you are fearless, you are my favourite little brat with a heart of gold and I am happy that you are here tonight. My favourite performance of yours so far.”

CHERYL COLE: “I saw something in you, I saw something the second you walked in that first audition room, you came to that audition knowing who you wanted to be and you’ve stayed true to that throughout the whole competition. You’re in the final and do you know what, I hope to see you tomorrow smashing again in the final.”
