Ainsley Harriott visit Palermo markets to uncover the best Sicilian street food including deep fried squid rings, Crocchè (Italian croquettes), Panelle and cannoli on Ainsley Harriott’s Street Food.
Croquettes are made from mashed potatoes, parsley, Parmesan cheese, which is covered in bread crumbs and fried.
A Panelle is simply made with chickpea flour, mint and water served with bread.
Sicilian cannoli are a delicious dessert made with ricotta cheese, chocolate and dried fruit.
