Ainsley Harriott visits Iceland and served up caldeirada, a Portuguese fish stew at the Saegreifinn – The Sea Baron restaurant, Reykjavik – on Ainsley Harriott’s Street Food.
Ainsley was inspired to cook the dish after seeing how the restaurant owner made her delicious lobster soup that is very popular with the locals.
Ainsley said he wanted to make the Portuguese seafood stew because it is one of his favourite dishes but he wanted to make it with an Icelandic twist.
The ingredients for his dish includes: Onions, fennel, garlic, red pepper, smoked paprika, saffron, red wine vinegar, fish stock, mussels, fresh cod, prawns and scallops.
