This week the X Factor has reached the semi-finals stage and the contestants well have to work has hard as last week in preparation as they will be singing two songs each once again.

Last week they said good buy to Wagner and Katie; two candidates that for many weeks looked as those they may defy all the odds and go all the way to the finals despite all the controversy that surrounded them on the show. However, the public sent Katie packing without a survival song and Wagner was dismissed by all four judges in the sing-off.

The remaining contestants – One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle – not only have to perform two songs on Saturday, but they have to select them from two separate themes:

–         Club Classics

–         Contestant Choice.

The contestant choice is a good one as it allows them to pick a song that they think will get them into the finals. It will be very interesting to see what they choose.
