Lorraine Pascale make homemade beans on toast on Cooking the Nation’s Favourite Food.
Lorraine says: “This quick and easy chorizo topping is a fantastic alternative to good old baked beans when piled onto hot toast.”
The ingredients are: 100g cooking chorizo, diced, 200g tinned chickpeas, drained and rinsed, 200g tinned chopped tomatoes, 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme leaves and salt and freshly ground black pepper.
To serve: 2 slices toast and 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley leaves.
