Messy Little Raindrops is the second studio album by Cheryl Cole released on 1 November 2010 by Fascination Records. The album is the follow-up to her multi platinum debut solo album 3 Words released in 2009, following seven successful years as a member of girl group Girls Aloud.
Messy Little Raindrops was recorded in Los Angeles and London. Working with Cheryl Cole on the album was Wayne Wilkins who previously produced Cole’s number one single “Fight For This Love”.
The album has a more dance pop sound than Cole’s previous album but has received generally mixed reviews from music critics. The album was preceded by the lead single, “Promise This”, which became the fastest-selling non-charity single of 2010 in the UK, reaching number one in Ireland and the UK.
