Gerald Sid and Michael cooks chicken casserole with dumplings for the cold winter months on Mel and Sue.
The delightful tree wise men from Age UK in Barnet, used the following ingredients for their tasty supper:
2 carrots, 2 celery sticks, 4 chicken thighs, 250g brown onions, 2 tablespoons plain flour, 2 teaspoons tomato paste, 2 tablespoons oil, 160ml dry white wine or cider and 1 chicken stock cube.
For the dumplings: 100g self-raising flour, 50g shredded suet beef or vegetarian, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs and salt and pepper.
