Simon Cowell and his X Factor team have chosen songs by the outspoken anti X Factor music legend Elton John as the theme for this weeks show.

Elton recently criticised the X Factor and TV shows of this type as being incapable of producing world class stars. I guess he has not heard of Leona Lewis or Susan Boyle, or perhaps they are not good enough in his eyes.

Anyway, with talk of a possible double elimination on Sunday the contest has got to step up yet again and bring their game to Elton John’s songs if they want to remain in the competition – but if your name is Katie Waissel all you need to do is show up mutter a few lines, curse and sit on the floor and you will sale through to the next round.
