Gamu Nhengu who was sent home at the X factor judges’ houses this year when Cheryl Cole refused to take her any further in the contest, has recorded a single to be released in time for Christmas.
The singer who settled in Scotland with her mother after they fled from the Zimbabwean regime, found herself in a lot of controversy when she was reject by Cheryl in favour of Katie Waissel.
Gamu will be releasing a Christmas song called ‘Where Will You Sleep This Christmas’ on behalf of Children’s charity Aberlou, with the proceeds raising money to help Scottish families and children, according to recent reports.
It would appear that the publicity that was generated over her departure from the X factor might in fact have started to work in Gamu’s favour.
