Mary Berry and Lucy Young fabulous chocolate and cherry cake with whipped cream and cherry jam on Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking.
The ingredients are: 55g cocoa powder, sifted, 6 tbsp boiling water, 4 large free-range eggs, 225g baking spread, straight from the fridge, 225g caster sugar, 225g self-raising flour and 1 tsp baking powder.
For the filling: 6 tbsp cherry jam and 300ml pouring double cream, lightly whipped.
For the ganache: 200ml pouring double cream and 200g dark chocolate, broken into pieces.
