Si and Dave makes Oxford sausages for breakfast recipe on the Hairy Bikers Food Tour of Britain.
The ingredients for the sausages: 500g minced pork, 500g minced lamb, 350g shredded suet, 225g fresh breadcrumbs, 2 lemons, zest only, 1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg, 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary leaves, 1 tbsp chopped fresh sage leaves, 1 free-range egg, beaten, salt and freshly ground black pepper, plain flour, for dusting and 50g goose fat, butter or oil, for frying.
For the breakfast: 8 slices middle-cut smoked bacon, 4 tomatoes, halved, 2 tbsp butter, 8 large Portobello mushrooms, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 4 free-range eggs and 1 loaf white or brown bread, thickly sliced.
