This week’s remaining celebrities are faced with the challenge of working in a mass catering environment to see who will crack under the pressure.
Actor Alex Ferns, Chelsea socialite Millie Mackintosh, dancer & choreographer Wayne Sleep and actor Leslie Ash, takes on the recipes at Welcome Trust Charity, catering for 120 hungry people.
Before they visit the charity, there is the small matter of the knowledge and skills test be undertaken at MasterChef HQ.
They must demonstrate their ability to identify a tray of ingredients for judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace – six different types of syrups and sugars. They are then asked to make an American pancake stack with maple syrup and bacon in just 15 minutes.
Knowledge and skills test over, the celebrities leave the MasterChef kitchen and head out to Welcome Trust Charity where they are divided into two teams (boys v girls) to cook with ingredients including beef steak, chicken breasts and a range of fruit and vegetables. The teams must prepare meat-based, vegetarian and dessert dishes in just two and a half hours.
The third and final task sees the celebs return to MasterChef kitchen to cook a faultless two-course meal that will not only be judged by John and Gregg but also past Celebrity MasterChef champions, Ade Edmondson and previous finalists Les Dennis and Christine Hamilton.
Alex, Millie, Wayne and Leslie must give this final task their best effort and impress, if they are to book their place in the semi-finals.
