Dave Myers served up a delicious Flapjack Manchester tart with fresh raspberries on The Hairy Bikers Go Local.
The ingredients for the base are: 75g butter, 50g light soft brown sugar, 1 tbsp (25g) golden syrup, 175g porridge oats, 50g flour, 1 free-range egg, beaten and salt.
For the custard: 500ml milk, 250ml double or whipping cream, 1 vanilla pod, split lengthways, seeds scraped out, 5 free-range egg yolks, 100g caster sugar and 50g cornflour or custard powder.
To assemble: 5 tbsp raspberry jam, fresh raspberries (optional), 35g desiccated coconut and maraschino cherries.
