Si King and Dave Myers served up tasty bao bun char siu venison with Japanese pickled vegetables and char siu sauce on The Hairy Bikers Go Local.
The ingredients include: 700g piece venison, vegetable oil, for frying and freshly ground black pepper.
For the char siu sauce: 200ml soy sauce, 100ml sake, 100ml mirin, 50ml hoisin sauce, 4 garlic cloves, sliced, 25g piece fresh root ginger, peeled and sliced, 3 star anise and 5cm piece cinnamon stick, broken up.
