John Whaite served up a delicious cherry and amaretto trifle with strawberry Swiss roll for the festive season on Steph’s Packed Lunch.
The ingredients for the first layer are: 1 Jumbo strawberry Swiss roll and 150ml tbsp amaretto liqueur.
For the second layer: Packet strawberry jelly cubes, 285g Onken cherry yoghurt and 100g frozen cherries.
For the third layer: 280g full fat cream cheese, 400g ambrosia deluxe custard and 2tbsp amaretto.
For the fourth layer: 150g frozen cherries and 175g Cherry Jam.
For the fifth layer: 1 strawberry Swiss roll (this one doesn’t need to be as big as the first)
4tbsp amaretto.
For the sixth layer: 350g ambrosia deluxe custard.
For the seventh layer: 300ml double cream, 100g Onken cherry yoghurt, 50g white chocolate, Fresh cherries, to top and Glitter spray, optional.

Hi John!! Well I made the black cherry trifle for Christmas Day but used Kirsch instead of ameretto…..had no end of compliments!!! And it was so easy to do!!
