Cheryl Cole could not contain her excitement over the prospect of mentoring the girls category this year. On hearing the news from one of the shows bosses, a shocked Cheryl Cole said: “Really? Oh my god I am so happy. Yes yes yes yes yes yes!”
Looking slightly smug she laughed: “Simon’s going to be a little bit gutted I’ve got the girls. The competition is well and truly on, I’m going for the hat-trick.”

Cheryl was seen on Sunday night’s show in Los Angeles where she was recuperating from malaria. However, she returns to our screens next week having made a full recovery for the judge’s homes stage of the contest.

Stacey, you have arrived whaetver the result of this competition. The way you can sing is in my humble opinion in the same league as Karen Carpenter or Ella Fitzgerald legendary female vocalists. If how you sang What a Wonderful World was an example of your own unaided natural gift for arrangement, then boy do you have a talent. When you sing you are transformed from a shy Dagenham girl into a world class vocalist.And you are so attractive too!
