9 months after being crowned winner of The X Factor 2009, Joe Mcelderry finally delivers his new single titled, ‘Ambitions’

There is no doubt that Ambitions is one of this year’s most anticipated single releases, and everyone will be watching to see if it will go straight to number one in the UK singles charts.
The track is the first release from his debut album, “Wide Awake”, since his debut release last year and is an indication of the musical direction Joe is likely to follow.

After winning The X Factor in 2009, Joe has been spending much of 2010 in studios across Europe, creating what I am sure he hopes will be one of the biggest albums of the year.

McElderry’s previous single, The Climb was nominated for Best British Single at the Brit Awards 2010 and he has recently been nominated for Best Newcomer at the BT digital music awards.

Ambitions will be released as the lead single on digital download on 10 October 2010 with the CD single release following one day later. He will perform the single on the first live show of The X Factor 2010. The song is a cover of a massive 2009 hit in Norway, Ambitions by Donkeyboy.
