Gok Wan served up a spicy kung pao chicken with Chinese black vinegar for a tasty Friday night supper on This Morning.
The ingredients are: 2 chicken breasts, cut into small cubes, Groundnut oil, for frying, 4cm grated ginger, 2 garlic cloves, crushed , 2 spring onions, finely chopped, 6 dried red chillies, 8 chopped water chestnuts, 1 large carrot, cubed to the same size as the chestnuts, 6 – 8 baby corn, cubed to the same size as the chestnuts, 3 tbsp roasted cashews (not salted), 2 tbsp light soy, 1 tbsp dark soy, ⅓ tbsp Shaoxing rice wine, 2 tsp sugar, ¼ tsp Chinese black vinegar, Splash of cold water and Cornflour, mixed in water.
Cooked rice, to serve and Spring onions, chopped, to garnish.
