Paul Hollywood showcased a delicious Danish cornucopia horn of plenty cake with ground almonds for today’s technical challenge on the Great British Bake Off 2020.
The ingredients for the dough are: 250g ground almonds, 250g icing sugar, sifted, plus extra for dusting, 2 egg whites, lightly whisked and ½ tsp almond extract.
For the decoration: 300g 54% dark chocolate, chopped.
For the icing: 1 large egg whites and 200g icing sugar, sifted.
For the caramel: 250g caster sugar.
