Phil Vickery served up festive sausage rolls with medjool dates, apricots and chestnuts together with a cranberry dipping sauce on This Morning.
The ingredients for the filling are: 500g good quality sausage meat, not too fatty, 15-20% fat content is perfect, 75g finely chopped dried apricots, 75g finely chopped medjool dates, 100g finely chopped chestnuts, 2 tbsp chopped fresh sage and ½ tsp ground cloves.
For the pastry: 500g puff pastry, I prefer ready-rolled and 1 egg beaten.
