James Martin serves up a beacon rarebit with apple chutney as part of his pick-me-up food theme on today’s episode of James Martin: Home Comforts.
For the rarebit, James used matured cheddar for a full flavour and a good quality beer.
To make the chutney use: 110g brown sugar, 4 plum tomatoes, chopped, 2 tbsp malt vinegar, 50g apple, peeled, core removed, handful of sultanas and salt and pepper for seasoning.
