Chef James Martin makes Yorkshire wagyu fillet steak with fries and béarnaise sauce as part of his meals for one offering on today’s episode on James Martin: Home Comforts.
James says: “Whip up a sumptuous meal for one, with the finest steak, chips and a classic French sauce. Because you’re worth it.”
James fries his stake in a little oil to seal it before adding seasoning. When the steak is cooked about a third of the way up, he turns it over and after a few minutes he puts it straight into to a pre heated oven to finish cooking for a just a couple minutes. He then returns it back to the hub and adds a few knobs of butter and repeatedly spoon the melted butter over the meat.
James serves his stake with oven fried chips and a classic béarnaise sauce.
