Jamie’s Mexican-style steak with tomato salsa and peanut sauce recipe on Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast

Jamie Oliver served up a tasty sirloin steak with potatoes, tomato salsa and a Mexican-style peanut sauce on Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast.

The ingredients are: 1 x 3cm thick sirloin steak , (300g), 1 Maris Piper potato , (300g), 3 fresh green chillies and olive oil.

For the salsa: ½ a bunch of fresh coriander , (15g), ½ a bunch of fresh mint , (15g), ½ a clove of garlic, 1 fresh red chilli, 2 spring onions, 1 ripe tomato , on the vine, 1 lime and extra virgin olive oil.

For the peanut sauce: 50 g unsalted peanuts, 25 g sesame seeds, ½ teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 clove of garlic, 1 sprig of fresh thyme, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, ½ a dried smoked chipotle chilli, 1 tablespoon tequila, 1-2 limes and ½ a fresh green chilli.
