The Bikers served up delicious ensaimadas with almond filling on the Hairy Bikers’ Mediterranean Adventure.
The ingredients are: 500g plain flour, plus extra for flouring, 150g caster sugar, 2 tsp yeast, pinch salt, 200ml warm milk, 2 free-range eggs, beaten, oil, for greasing and icing sugar, to serve.
For the almond filling: 100g caster sugar, 100g softened butter, 100g ground almonds, few drops almond extract and few drops orange blossom water (optional).
