It is the start of second week of this seasons Britain’s Best Bakery and the search has moved from the north to the south of the country to find a bakery that could be crowned Britain’s best.

Today Britain’s Best Bakery judges Mich Turner and Peter Sidwell visits Devon where – East And West Bakery, Seeds2Bakery and the Cottage Kitchen bakery – enters the baking arena.

All three bakeries impressed with their Speciality Bakes:

East and West bakery speciality bake is their rum baba.

Seeds 2 Bakery speciality bake is their spinach and fennel seeds bread.

And Cottage Kitchen bakery speciality bake is their spicy carrot cake.

However, in the next two rounds of a closely contested bake-off, it was Cottage Kitchen bakery that came out on top and went through to the next round.
