Cyrus Todiwala and Tony Singh (The Incredible Spice Men), served up honey roast chicken with outstanding roasties on Saturday Kitchen.
the ingredients are: 1.2kg chicken.
For the marinade: 6 tbsp honey, 50g fresh root ginger, chopped, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 3 tbsp light soy sauce, 2 tbsp lime juice, 3 tbsp cold-pressed rapeseed or olive oil and salt and freshly ground black pepper.
For the roast potatoes: 1-1.2kg floury potatoes, peeled and cut roughly into 5cm chunks, 100ml rapeseed oil or vegetable oil, 2 tsp dried sage, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp vegetable bouillon powder and ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional).
