Prue Leith invited the nation into her kitchen to watch her make a chocolate Christmas log on today’s episode of Christmas Kitchen with James Martin.
The South African born cookery writer and TV personality, started her career in business supplying high quality business lunches, which grew to become Leith’s Good Food, the party and event caterer. Later she opened her famous Michelin starred restaurant in London and soon after founded Leiths School of Food and Wine which trains amateur and professional chefs.
Today Prue used her baking expertise baking a tasty Christmas roulade treat, her Chocolate and chestnut log.
To make her Christmas treat, Leith used plain chocolate, strong instant coffee powder, free-range eggs, caster sugar, icing sugar for dusting, holly leaves and berries and for the filling her ingredients were double cream with sweetened chestnut purée.
