On this the last in the present series of Nigel and Adam’s Farm Kitchen, Nigel serves up a delicious chocolate oat bar treat.
The chocolate oat bars are gluten-free and are packed with dried cranberries and cherries and the spice kick of crystallised ginger.
To make his oats bars, Nigel melts butter in a pan then adds jumbo and rolled oats and cook for three minutes. He then transfers the contents of the pan to an oven dish.
Next, he places a bowl over a pan of simmering water and adds plain chocolate and cream to the bowl and left to melt for 15 minutes without stirring.
He then adds cranberries, cherries and ginger to the oats and stirred.
When the chocolate has fully melted, he gave it a stir and then poured over the oat and fruit. He fold the chocolate through and then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
